"Providing food, clothing, and dignity to our brothers and sisters in need"

Jennifer Gale Village

Jennifer Gale Village, our community for the homeless in Austin, is based on Housing First! principals, and God's call to bring human dignity to all people by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and housing the stranger.

The objective is to develop a community with revolutionary service and attention to needs at a fraction of the cost of traditonal housing initiatives.

The emphasis in Jennifer Gale Village will be on love, respect, abundance, and acceptance.   The community will include spiritual centers, community centers, gardens, laundry facilities, Internet access, a gym, flexible job program, and a tool bank.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

atlas_of_needs We all agree that providing affordable housing for our poorest citizens is not only imperative but is now urgent.  But where to locate supportive housing often falls into the “Not In My Backyard” mentality.  The Atlas of Needs which is a demographic study of income and need in Austin along with an analysis of where services are currently located gives us a framework to open the dialogue as to where is the best place in our community for the Jennifer Gale Village.  You can download the PDF by clicking here.
